Tomorrow (today) is my last day of school as an undergraduate, not counting finals.

One would think that I would have worked hard to get what I needed to get done before the night before it was due but that simply isn't true!

Ha ha.

In 24 hours all I will have to worry my little head about will be my finals. Even then there are only three. All on the same day and right in a row. To top it off, they are all Literature courses.

I have my honor's presentation at 3 pm. I should work on that but before I can, I need to finish writing these two papers so.....off I go.

And today I took home a stack of books from the library. I plan on reading nothing but fluff for the next month.

Almost done writing my 20 page paper.

I presented my 20 page paper to the English department about an hour ago and............

I have been granted Honors in course

How lucky I am, I get to write a paper over Oscar Wilde for World Lit. YESSSSSSS! I kept hoping I could focus on him.

I shall now write the four page paper.

The Main Campus in Leavenworth will begin on the late start schedule this morning, Thursday, December 8th. Classes will begin at 9:30am.


What kind of crap is that?!

Now UMKC has cancelled.

Every other freaking school is closed but mine at the moment. KCKCC NEVER closes and yet......here they are...cancelling classes for the day. But when I go to a college that normally cancels classes, The Univeristy of St. Mary, they don't.

What is wrong with this?

Hell.....even the Fort is closed. The Lancing and Leavenworth school districts are closed too and they are right down the road from mine!

ARG!

I know I have not been posting recently but I promise that once this semester is over I will try to have something interesting to write about. I have a few stories.

On Thursday I have a 5+ page research paper due for my Art class.

Friday I have 4-5 page research paper due for World Lit

And next Wednesday my 20 page paper is due for my Lit Crit class. You might say...well...you still have a week to do it...but silly me....I am using the paper as my honors project so I can graduate with honors in May. And because of that I am giving a formal presentation of it on Friday to the English department. I don't have to have it all the way done....but I still have to present it. I have no idea how I am suppose to go about doing that. Oh well....I will ask the teacher tomorrow.

For now I need to get back to that 20 page paper. I am skipping the intro and the explanation of the theory I am using...after all.....that can be put in later. Right now I am just working on making paragraphs over my main topics. I can certainly expand on them in time for next Wednesday. After all......college papers are full of BS. I am a English major so I know how to draw things out and make it sound like I have some clue of what I am talking about.....at least I hope so.

Just got back from the movie and I am going to type some quick thoughts on it....not that anyone but Courtney reads my journal any more.

It was good and it was bad. As is always the case. At parts I had to turn away because I could not look at what had been butchered.

Warning to those who have not read the book.....there may be references to events that happens in the text following.

When the filmmakers said that the Quidditch World Cup would still be in the movie....I was happy knowing they kept such a cool part in. What they did not mention is that yes, the Quidditch world cup is in it....but they do not show any part of the game. We see about a minute...of the teams flying around before the match.

What about the aftermath of the Cup you say. Gone.......couple of minutes at most. A few brief scenes of Death eaters walking about..dark mark shown......thats it.

I knew that S.P.E.W. was not going to make it into the movie....what I did not know was that they were going to remove ALL references to house elves from the movie. Dobby? GONE! Winky? GONE.......I am saying....NO ELVES WHATSOEVER!

Dumbledore is almost violent with Harry after Harry's name comes out of the goblet.

The graveyard scene was good. Short but still good.

Now the scene that happens right after Harry returns from the graveyard.....was really moving. Honestly, it broke my heart. If that scene affected me that much.....I am probably going to lose it when the 5th movie comes out.

There are other changes and good points but I am going to let you all look for them when you see the movie because right now I really want to go to bed.

For what it was....the movie wasn't that bad. I am not saying that I did not enjoy it but I just really love the books and I cannot help but compare the two.

So....let us leave on a happy note.......it was a better adaptation than the Ella Enchanted movie. (Did anyone see that?! They took this wonderful book and BUTCHERED IT! Now THAT movie was a painful experience.)

I am leaving now for the screening of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire!!!!!!!


I get to see it a full day before everyone else!

Not only did I get an "A" but she told me it was one of the BEST papers she has ever received.
